Anna Rose Drury of Cape Girardeau passed away on Monday, December 13, 1999 at the age of 66.
She was born July 2, 1933 in Kelso, Mo., the daughter of Charles and Rose Grojean Heisserer, who preceded her in death. She married Robert A. Drury on January 9, 1954 at St. Augustine Church in Kelso.
She attended St. Augustine School in Kelso and graduated from Old St. Mary's High School as Valedictorian. She was a member of St. Francis Auxiliary for 25 years, serving as President from 1973-1975 and again in 1991-1993. In 1995, she received the "Vernice Baumstark Award" for extraordinary service to St. Francis Auxiliary. She was a homemaker and an officer and board member of Drury Industries, Inc. and Drury Southwest, Inc.
Mrs. Drury was a member of St. Mary's Cathedral located in Cape Girardeau. She was involved in St. Ann Sodality and Diocensan Catholic Women.
Mrs. Drury is survived by her husband; one son, Richard G. Drury of San Antonio, Tex.; two daughters, Kathryn G. Drury of Cape Girardeau and Julia A. Williams of San Antonio, Tex.; one brother, Donald Heisserer of Kelso; three sisters, Mona Nenninger of Jackson, Carolyn Bohnert of Cape Girardeau and Charlene Alvarado of San Antonio, Tex.; four grandchildren and one great grandchild.
Visitation will be from 4:00 to 9:00 p.m. on Wednesday, Dec. 15, 1999 with Parish Prayers at 7:00 p.m. at Ford & Sons Mount Auburn Chapel. Rosary will be conducted at 7:30 p.m. Funeral services will be at 10:00 a.m. Thursday, Dec. 16, 1999 at St. Mary's Cathedral. Ministering will be the Most Rev. John J. Leibrecht, D.D., Ph.D. and Msgr. Richard Rolwing. Interment will be in St. Mary's Cemetery in Cape Girardeau.
Pallbearers will be Jeff Bohnert, Brian Nenninger, Kenny Drury, Patrick Schlosser, John Jansen and Charlie Heisserer.
Memorials have been requested to be given to New Chapel at St. Francis Medical Center and Notre Dame High School Foundation Fund.
