ANNA NOLEN

WYATT, Mo. -- Anna Pauline Nolen, 78, of Wyatt died Tuesday, Sept. 26, 2000, at Missouri Delta Medical Center in Sikeston, Mo.

She was born Oct. 28, 1921, in Indianapolis, Ind., daughter of Joe Hale and Mildred Lay Dyer. She and William Henry Nolen were married Dec. 19, 1936. He died April 29, 1990.

Nolen lived in Mississippi County most of her life. She was a member of First Baptist Church in Wyatt.

Survivors include five sons, Frank Nolen of Monroe, La., Thomas Nolen of Charleston, Mo., John Nolen of New Orleans, La., Robert and James Nolen of Wyatt; six daughters, Lola Bright of Bardwell, Ky., Mary Marascalco and Susan Bunton of New Orleans, Lula Taylor of Marion, Ill., Leah Poindexter of Otisco, Ind., Cora Thurman of Wyatt; 17 grandchildren; and seven great-grandchildren.

Friends may call at McMikle Funeral Home in Charleston from 5-8 p.m. Thursday.

Funeral will be at 11 a.m. Friday at the funeral home. The Rev. Bill Meeks will officiate, and the eulogy will be given by a son-in-law, Michael Poindexter. Burial will be in Oak Grove Cemetery near Charleston.
