DEXTER -- Funeral service for retired Lt. Col. Anna Omega Miller of Jacksonville, Ark., will be held at 2 p.m. Monday at Watkins and Sons Funeral Home in Dexter. Retired chaplain Charles Law will officiate. Burial will be in Dexter Cemetery.

Friends may call at the funeral home from 3-9 p.m. Sunday.

Miller, 67, died Wednesday, Jan. 21, 1998, at Rebsamen Regional Medical Center in Jacksonville.

She was born Jan. 17, 1931, at Dexter, daughter of Stephen E. and Maugreete Ruth Williams Miller Sr.

Miller was a 1948 graduate of Dexter High School, received bachelor of science and master degrees from the University of Maryland, and received registered nurse training at Baptist Hospital in St. Louis.

She served 20 years in the U.S. Air Force. She sang in the Little Rock Air Force Chapel Choir.

Survivors include two brothers, Stephen Miller Jr. and Kendall Miller of Dexter; two sisters, Bertha Miller of Dexter and Eleanor Ezell of Alexandria, Va.

She was preceded in death by a brother and three sisters.
