SIKESTON, Mo. -- Anna Lorene Looney, 73, of Sikeston died Wednesday, Dec. 17, 2003, at Southeast Missouri Hospital in Cape Girardeau.
She was born Feb. 8, 1930, in Martin, Ky., daughter of Ed W. and Susan Barnes Johnson. She and W.J. "Junior" Looney were married Dec. 11, 1953, at Marston, Mo. He died Dec. 28, 1989.
Formerly of Lilbourn, Mo., Looney was a 1958 graduate of Lilbourn High School. She was a member of Tanner Street Church of God.
She has been a Sunday School and Bible School teacher and served on various church boards and committees.
Survivors include a son, Marcus Looney of Sikeston; a sister, Susan Tatum of Jackson; four brothers, Elmo Johnson of Portageville, Mo., Grey and Charles "Chug" Johnson of Lilbourn, and Billy Johnson of Kansas City, Mo.
She was preceded in death by her parents, her twin brother and three other brothers.
Friends may call at Ponder Funeral Home in Sikeston after 11 a.m. Friday.
The funeral will be at 2 p.m. Friday at the funeral home, with the Revs. Jimmy Johnson and Carl Addison officiating. Burial will be in Mounds Park Cemetery near Lilbourn.
