Anna Lee Howard, 75, of Cape Girardeau passed away Friday, Aug. 1, 2008, at her home.

She was born Feb. 15, 1933, in Leemon, Mo., to Burton and Virginia Abernathy Seabaugh. She and Richard Howard were married June 10, 1959. He passed away Sept. 8, 1966.

Anna Lee received a master's degree from Southeast Missouri University. She was a librarian at public schools in Bell City, Mo., Oak Ridge, Jackson and 20 years in Chaffee, Mo. She retired in the early 1990s.

She was a member of Grace United Methodist Church in Cape Girardeau. She enjoyed playing the piano and was active in several church ministries until her health began to fail.

Loving survivors include a son, Mark (Michelle) Howard of Cape Girardeau; a daughter, Melody (Steve) Mathes and son Andrew, all of Jackson; and a sister, Dorothy (Buss) Paar of Gilbertsville, Ky.

She was preceded in death by her parents.

Friends may call from 4 to 8 p.m. today at McCombs Funeral Home in Cape Girardeau.

The funeral will be at 10:30 a.m. Monday at the funeral home, with the Rev. Scott Moon officiating.

Interment will follow at Memorial Park Cemetery in Cape Girardeau.

In lieu of flowers, the family suggests memorials to Grace United Methodist Church.
