Anna Lee Howard, 75, of Cape Girardeau died Friday, Aug. 1, 2008, at her home.
She was born Feb. 15, 1933, at Leemon, Mo., daughter of Lee Burton and Virginia Abernathy Seabaugh. She and Richard Howard were married June 10, 1959. He died Sept. 8, 1966.
Howard was a librarian at Missouri public schools in Bell City, Oak Ridge, Jackson and 20 years at Chaffee, retiring in the early 1990s. She was a member of Grace United Methodist Church and was active in several ministries until her health began to fail.
Survivors include a son, Mark Howard of Cape Girardeau; a daughter, Melody Mathes of Jackson; a sister, Dorothy Paar of Gilbertsville, Ky.; and a grandchild.
She was preceded in death by her parents.
Friends may call from 4 to 8 p.m. Sunday at McCombs Funeral Home in Cape Girardeau.
The funeral will be at 10:30 a.m. Monday at the funeral home, with the Rev. Scott Moon officiating. Burial will be in Cape County Memorial Park.
