Anna Lee Rhoades, 64, 795 North Hills, died Friday, April 1, 1994, at St. Francis Medical Center.
She was born Jan. 27, 1930, in Fillmore, Calif., daughter of Carl and Olga Branson Rummans. She and George Rhoades were married July 7, 1947, at Fillmore.
Rhoades moved to St. Louis in the late 1940s. She worked at the St. Charles Journal 20 years. She moved to Cape Girardeau in 1990 from O'Fallon.
She had been a private duty sitter at Chateau Girardeau the past three years. Rhoades was a member of St. Mark Lutheran Church and its Rachel and Priscilla Circle.
Survivors include three sons, David Rhoades of New Hope, Ark., Dennis Rhoades of Melbourne, Fla., Lars Nelson of Bakersfield, Calif.; two brothers, Carl Rummans Jr. of Payson, Ariz., Le Roy Rummans of Windsor, Conn.; two sisters, Carolyn Renfrow of Bakersfield, Judy Coleman of Lompoc, Calif.; three grandchildren, and a great-grandchild.
A memorial service will be held at 10 a.m. April 12 at St. Mark Lutheran Church. The Rev. Mary Waudby will officiate.
