Anna Bertha Jenkins, 98, of Cape Girardeau died Tuesday, April 10, 2001, at Ratliff Care Center.
She was born March 8, 1903, in Cape Girardeau County, daughter of Jacob R. and Bertha Milde Schwab. She and Lionel Jenkins were married Feb. 19, 1945, in Cape Girardeau. He died Jan. 3, 1987.
Jenkins was a graduate of Oak Grove School and attended Cape Girardeau Business College. She worked at International Shoe Co. three years, at C.W. Braun Grocery Store 13 years, and was a bookkeeper at Cauble and Field 30 years. She was a member of Evangelical United Church of Christ.
Survivors include a stepdaughter, Velda Pierce of San Jose, Calif.; and three stepgrandchildren.
She was preceded in death by a stepson, a stepdaughter, and two brothers.
Friends may call at Ford and Sons Sprigg Street Chapel from 4-8 p.m. Thursday.
Funeral will be at 10 p.m. Friday at the chapel, with the Rev. James Caughlan officiating. Burial will be in Cape County Memorial Park.
