Anna E. Henderson, 82, of Delta died Tuesday, Sept. 14, 2004, at her home.
She was born July 18, 1922, south of Kennett, Mo., daughter of Luther Thomas and Veda Mae Burns Felker. She and Charles Allen Henderson were married Dec. 24, 1950, in Jackson.
Anna was a graduate of Oran High School, and received a teaching degree from Southeast Missouri State University.
She taught business courses at Advance, Bell City, and Caruth, Mo., Southern Illinois, Delta and Chaffee, Mo., high schools. She was postmaster at Delta for a time, and helped her husband on the farm. She especially enjoyed gardening.
Since 1951 she has been a member of First Presbyterian Church and its Esther-Hannah Circle. She was currently a trustee for Apple Creek Presbyterian Cemetery Association, and served as president several years.
Survivors include her husband; a son and daughter-in-law, Tom and Carol Henderson, and their children, Elaine, Matthew, Emily and Lisa Henderson, all of Delta; a brother and sister-in-law, George and Mildred "Mick" Felker of Chaffee.
Friends may call at McCombs Funeral Home in Jackson from 4 to 8 p.m. Friday.
The funeral will be at 10:30 a.m. Saturday at the funeral home, with Dr. Grant Gillard officiating. Burial will be in Russell Heights Cemetery in Jackson.
Expressions of sympathy may take the form of contributions to First Presbyterian Church in Jackson.
