Anna Glaus

CHAFFEE, Mo. -- Anna Marie Glaus, daughter of the late Edward James and Louise Emma Schmitt Hess, was born July 5, 1936, in Chaffee and departed her life Thursday, Aug. 24, 2023, in Cape Girardeau at the age of 87.

On Aug. 25, 1956, she married Robert Joseph Glaus in Chaffee. He preceded her in death Sept. 24, 1998. They are now reunited for their 67th anniversary.

Anna is survived by three sons, Rickey (Patty) Glaus of Chaffee, Donald (Beth) Glaus of Cape Girardeau and Mike (Julie) Glaus of Chaffee; two daughters, Mary Ann (Willard) Keys of Gordonville and Angie DeProw of Chaffee; brother, Paul (Lynda) Hess of Malden, Missouri; two sisters, Mary Lou (Clem) Landewee of Leopold, Missouri, and Donna Hess of Chaffee; six grandchildren, Joey (Sarah) Keys, Ashley (Dustin) Anglin, Sarah (Tyler) Martin, Brittni Hopkins, Jacob (Sarah) Glaus and Matt Glaus; and nine great-grandchildren, Kaydence Hopkins, Jase Anglin, Kenzie Keys, Kyson Hopkins, Brady Keys, Saylor Anglin, Bailey Martin, Mya Martin and Nora Glaus, with whom Anna shared a birthday.

Visitation will be from 4 to 7 p.m. Monday, Aug. 28, at Amick-Burnett Funeral Chapel in Chaffee. A prayer service will be at 4 p.m.

Funeral Mass will be at 10 a.m. Tuesday, Aug. 29, at St. Ambrose Catholic Church in Chaffee, with the Rev. Joseph Kelly officiating. Burial will follow at the church cemetery.
