Anna Louise Glastetter, 97, of New Hamburg, Mo., died Saturday, Nov. 12, 2011, at the Life Care Center in Cape Girardeau. She was born Feb. 14, 1914, in New Hamburg, the daughter, and one of 10 children, of Joe and Sophie Gosche Westrich. She married Bernard "Barney" Glastetter on March 5, 1935, at New Hamburg. He preceded her in death on May 15, 1989...

Anna Louise Glastetter, 97, of New Hamburg, Mo., died Saturday, Nov. 12, 2011, at the Life Care Center in Cape Girardeau.

She was born Feb. 14, 1914, in New Hamburg, the daughter, and one of 10 children, of Joe and Sophie Gosche Westrich. She married Bernard "Barney" Glastetter on March 5, 1935, at New Hamburg. He preceded her in death on May 15, 1989.

Anna was a homemaker. She was a member of St. Lawrence Catholic Church in New Hamburg and the St. Ann Sodality. She loved to play bingo and cards.

Survivors include three sons, Melvin (Cecilia) Glastetter, Virgil (Sandy) Glastetter and Mike (Debbie) Glastetter, all of New Hamburg; a daughter Vickie (Jim) Eftink of Oran, Mo.; a daughter-in-law, Jackie Glastetter of Peoria, Ill.; a son-in-law, Norman Blattel of Scott City; 23 grandchildren; 41 great-grandchildren; and six great-great grandchildren.

She was also preceded in death by a son, Calvin Glastetter; a daughter, Rose "Tootie" Blattel; and a son-in law, Billy Chapman.

Friends may call after 4 p.m. Tuesday at St. Lawrence Church in New Hamburg. Parish prayers will begin at 7 p.m., followed by a prayer service by the Knights of Columbus Council 6420 of Scott City. Funeral Mass will be celebrated at 10 a.m. Wednesday at the church, with the Rev. Michael John Glastetter and the Rev. Michael Casteel officiating. Burial will be in the church cemetery.

The family requests that, in lieu of flowers, memorials be made to St. Lawrence Catholic Church in New Hamburg.

Amick-Burnett Funeral Chapel in Scott City is in charge of arrangements.
