KELSO, Mo. -- Anna Marie Burger, 93, of Kelso died Friday, July 18, 2014, at Clearview Nursing Center in Sikeston, Missouri.
She was born Aug. 15, 1920, in Cape Girardeau, and is the daughter of Michael Jakob and Johanna Bles Enderle. She married Louis Charles Burger on April 11, 1942, in Kelso. He preceded her in death July 3, 1957.
Anna Marie was a member of St. Augustine Catholic Church in Kelso and its St. Anne's Sodality. She was member of the Knights of Columbus Ladies Auxiliary Council 6420 and VFW Post 6407 Ladies Auxiliary. She was selected as Lady of the Year of the State Knights of Columbus Ladies Auxiliary for 1996-1997.
She is survived by two sons, Ron (Karen) Burger and Charles (Carol) Burger, both of Scott City; nine grandchildren, Scott Burger, Tammy (Chris) Crider, Adam (Nicky) Burger, Brian (Lisa) Burger, Mike (Cindy) Burger, Kim (Doug) Jansen, Sandy McNeely and Kirt (Kelly) Burger; a sister, Dorine Uhrhan of Belleville, Illinois; 15 great-grandchildren; eight great-great grandchildren; and the Kissinger family of Ozark, Missouri.
She was also preceded in death by two brothers and four sisters.
Friends may call from 5 to 8 p.m. Tuesday at St. Augustine Church in Kelso. Parish prayers will be at 7 p.m. followed by a Knights of Columbus prayer service.
Funeral Mass will be celebrated at 10 a.m. Wednesday at the church by the Rev. Oliver Clavin. Burial will be in St. Augustine Cemetery.
In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the American Cancer Society or Southeast Hospice.
