JACKSON -- Anna Josephine Brockmire, 77, of Jackson died Tuesday, July 29, 1997, at St. Francis Medical Center in Cape Girardeau. She was born Dec. 7, 1919, in Cairo, Ill., daughter of Gustav and Anna Marie Schmidt Schuch. She and Arnold C. Brockmire Sr. were married Sept. 26, 1941, at Charleston. He died in September 1979...

JACKSON -- Anna Josephine Brockmire, 77, of Jackson died Tuesday, July 29, 1997, at St. Francis Medical Center in Cape Girardeau.

She was born Dec. 7, 1919, in Cairo, Ill., daughter of Gustav and Anna Marie Schmidt Schuch. She and Arnold C. Brockmire Sr. were married Sept. 26, 1941, at Charleston. He died in September 1979.

Brockmire had lived in Cape Girardeau more than 30 years, moving to Jackson 14 years ago. She was a member of St. Mary's Cathedral in Cape Girardeau.

Survivors include three sons, Arnold Brockmire Jr. of San Diego, Calif., and Joseph and Lee Brockmire of Jackson; three daughters, Sandy Holt of Louisville, Ky., Mary Kenkel of Jackson and Judy Robert of Kelso; a stepdaughter, Pat Kessler of Payson, Ariz.; a brother, Paul Schuch of Farmington; a sister, Agnes Brandes of LeRoy, N.Y.; 23 grandchildren; and 16 great-grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by two sons, five brothers and two sisters.

Friends may call at Ford and Sons Mount Auburn Chapel from 4-9 p.m. Thursday. Parish prayers will be at 7.

Funeral Mass will be at 10 a.m. Friday at St. Mary's Cathedral, with Msgr. Richard Rolwing officiating. Burial will be in St. Mary's Cemetery.
