ANNA, Ill. -- Anna Ruth Boswell, 76, of Anna died Friday, March 17, 2000, at her home. She was born Aug. 25, 1923, daughter of George and Mittie Clements Stephenson at Wheatcroft, Ky. She was a member of the First Baptist Church of Anna and was retired from the former Anna State Hospital...

ANNA, Ill. -- Anna Ruth Boswell, 76, of Anna died Friday, March 17, 2000, at her home.

She was born Aug. 25, 1923, daughter of George and Mittie Clements Stephenson at Wheatcroft, Ky.

She was a member of the First Baptist Church of Anna and was retired from the former Anna State Hospital.

She is survived by two daughters, Karen Betts of Carbondale and Lou Ann Boswell of Anna; and a friend Herbert "Rags" Ragsdale of Anna.

She was preceded in death by her parents.

Funeral will be at 1:30 p.m. Sunday at the Lutz & Rendleman Funeral Home in Anna, with the Rev. Larry Shacklee officiating. Interment will be at Anna Cemetery.

Friends may call after 6 p.m. today at the funeral home.
