ANNA ADAMS

JACKSON -- Anna Elizabeth Adams, 68, of Jackson, died Tuesday, Oct. 14, 1997, at Southeast Missouri Hospital.

She was born Dec. 11, 1928, at Glennon, daughter of Henry and Mary Laurentius Eftink.

She married Leonard M. Adams on April 19, 1947, at Glennon. He survives.

She was a member of Immaculate Conception Catholic Church in Jackson, St. Ann's Sodality, DAV Auxiliary and Althenthal-Joerns Post 158 of the American Legion Auxiliary in Jackson.

She is survived by three sons, Robert Adams of Jackson, Gerald Adams of Gordonville and Rick Adams of Cape Girardeau; two daughters, Gayle UnVerferth of Cape Girardeau and Jean Ann Adams of Villa Park, Ill., three brothers, Louis Eftink of Scott City, August Eftink of Leopold and Clarence Eftink of Marble Hill; two sisters, Francis VanGennip of Marble Hill and Emma Holzum of St. Louis; nine grandchildren and one step-granddaughter.

She was preceded in death by a brother and a sister.

Friends may call from 4 to 8 p.m. Thursday and from 8 a.m. to 9:30 a.m. Friday at Immaculate Conception Church in Jackson. A rosary will be said at 7 p.m., followed by parish prayers at 7:30 p.m.

Funeral services will be 10 a.m. Friday at the church with Msgr. Edward Eftink officiating. Burial will follow in Russell Heights Cemetery in Jackson.

Cracraft-Miller Funeral Home in Jackson is in charge of arrangements.
