MORLEY, Mo. -- Elizabeth Ann Crowell Anderson, 78, of Morley passed away Monday, April 9, 2018, at Saint Francis Medical Center in Cape Girardeau.

Ann was the beloved wife of Bill "Cousin Carl" Anderson and cherished matriarch of an extended family. Born June 7, 1939, in Oklahoma, Ann was the daughter of Raymond and Marguerite Crowell.

An excellent bookkeeper, Ann worked alongside her husband as his business partner in several companies, including Pure Country, C106 KWKZ radio.

Known to many as "Miss Ann," she was a true Southern lady and a sweet, selfless woman who lived for her family. She loved listening to her husband and daughters on the radio and to her daughter and her daughter-in-law sing. She enjoyed watching her son ride horses and rodeo, and her oldest daughter report the news. She applauded her grandchildren's sports and school activities and her great-granddaughter's violin talent. Ann was an avid reader who enjoyed traveling in their RV and adored her little poodle, Gus.

Survivors include her husband of 56 years; her three children, Dianne (Mark) Mathis, Susan (Arnold) Bell and John (Mindy) Anderson; seven grandchildren, Sydney and Chase Eubank, Cody, Kirstie and Taylor Anderson, and Weston and Waverly Mathis; two great-grandchildren, Kami Eubank and Teagan Anderson; brother, Ray (Shelly) Crowell; and nieces, nephews and many other extended family members.

Visitation will be from 4 to 7 p.m. today at Ford and Sons Mount Auburn Funeral Home in Cape Girardeau.

Funeral will be at 10 a.m. Thursday at the funeral home, with the Rev. Eric McGruder officiating. Entombment will be at Cape County Memorial Park Mausoleum in Cape Girardeau.

In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to a charity of choice.
