Anita Bartlum Wilson, 84, of Cape Girardeau died Thursday, Dec. 21, 2000, at Chateau Girardeau Health Care Center.
She was born Nov. 27, 1916, in Jacksonville, Fla., daughter of Leonard and Theo Weltch Bartlum. She and Dr. Charles F. Wilson were married Sept. 11, 1940, in Orlando, Fla.
Mrs. Wilson attended Randolph Macon Women's College in Lynchburg, Va., and received a B.A. degree from Vanderbilt University in Nashville, Tenn., in 1939. She received a master's degree from Peabody College in 1940.
She and her husband moved to Cape Girardeau in 1947. She was a member of several organizations, including Chapter FG of P.E.O.
She is survived by her husband; two sons, Dr. Charles L. Wilson of Cape Girardeau, William B. Wilson of Orlando; a sister, Mrs. James W. Walker of Jacksonville, Fla.; four grandchildren; and a great-grandchild.
A private family service will be conducted Saturday, Dec. 23, 2000, at Ford and Sons Mt. Auburn Chapel. Burial will be at a later date at Memorial Park Cemetery.
