Anita Anna Steinborn, 97, of Cape Girardeau died Saturday, Nov. 24, 2001, at the Lutheran Home.
She was born Aug. 23, 1904, in Jackson, Mo., daughter of Henry C. and Matilda Louise Borgfield Best. She and Wilson Howard Steinborn were married Feb. 14, 1925. He died July 16, 1979.
Anita had worked for International Shoe Manufacturer. She had also worked as an inspector for Dorsa Dress Factory in Cape Girardeau and as an inspector at the Jackson Dress Factory in Jackson. She was a member of Trinity Lutheran Church.
Survivors include a son and daughter-in-law, Howard E. and Martha Steinborn of Florissant, Mo.; two daughters and sons-in-law, Viola and Garland Buck of Charleston, Mo., Virgie and Gustav Preusser of Cape Girardeau.
Also surviving are five grandchildren and spouses, Wayne and Elaine Steinborn, Linda and Howard Goff, Timothy and Michelle Steinborn, Patricia and Robert Anderson, Frances Lemonds; and three great-grandchildren, Christopher Steinborn, Charles Pinkston and Elizabeth Pinkston.
She was preceded in death by her parents, two brothers, and six sisters.
Funeral will be held at 11 a.m. today at Ford and Sons Mt. Auburn Funeral Home, with the Rev. Douglas C. Breite officiating. Burial will be in Lorimier Cemetery.
