BLOOMFIELD -- Andrew McClard, 76, of Bloomfield, died Wednesday, Aug. 18, 1993, at Southeast Missouri Hospital in Cape Girardeau.
He was born Jan. 18, 1917, near here, son of Thomas and Pearlie McClard. He married the former Evelyn Capps.
McClard had farmed and worked as a blacksmith. He was an active member of First General Baptist Church, where he had been a Sunday School and Vacation Bible School teacher, Sunday School superintendent and trustee. He was currently a Sunday School teacher at Bloomfield Nursing Center.
Survivors include his wife; four sons, Thomas McClard of Troy, Jerry and Sam McClard of Bloomfield, Harold McClard of Jacksonville, Fla.; three daughters, Shelba Blackshire of West Frankfort, Ill., Brenda Crader of Delta, Billie Snowden of Branson; his mother, Pearlie Ross of Bloomfield; a sister, Rachel Barker of Dexter; a half brother, Virgil Ross of Flint, Mich.; 25 grandchildren, and 25 great-grandchildren.
Funeral service will be at 2 p.m. Saturday at First General Baptist Church. The Rev. Kevin Eskew will officiate, with burial in Triplett Cemetery near here.
Friends may call at Chiles-Cooper Funeral Home after 4 p.m. today.
