CHARLESTON -- Andrew Hamilton, 90, of Charleston, died Thursday, March 24, 1994, en route to the Missouri Delta Medical Center in Sikeston.
He was born Nov. 10, 1903, at Starkville, Miss.
He was a member of the Congregation of Jehovah's Witnesses in East Prairie.
Survivors include his wife, the former Ida B. Spears; three sons, James Hamilton of Murphysboro, Ill., Joseph and Willie Riley of Chicago, Ill.; five daughters, Mildred Wright of St. Louis, Evelyn Hart of Sauk Village, Ill., Harriet Williams of Atlanta, Ga., Ruth Riley of Homewood, Ill., Dorothy Steel of Chicago; a brother, Henry Hamilton of Starkville; three sisters, Nellie White of Oran, Leanna Boyds of Starkville, Pallee Seldon of Kalamazoo, Mich.; 28 grandchildren, and 41 great-grandchildren.
Friends may call from 7-8 p.m. today at Sparks Funeral Home.
Funeral service will be at 2 p.m. Wednesday at the funeral home, with the Rev. Leroy Shead officiating. Burial will be in Oak Grove Cemetery.
