Andrea Freeman-Hagerty, 36, of Cape Girardeau passed away after a strong and courageous battle with cancer Monday, Nov. 19, 2018, at her home, surrounded by family and friends. She was born April 3, 1982, to Jim and Karen Batson Hogg in Poplar Bluff, Missouri. She graduated from Poplar Bluff High School in 2000 and received an associate degree from Three Rivers College. Andrea Freeman-Hagerty, 36, of Cape Girardeau passed away after a strong and courageous battle with cancer Monday, Nov. 19, 2018, at her home, surrounded by family and friends.

She was born April 3, 1982, to Jim and Karen Batson Hogg in Poplar Bluff, Missouri. She graduated from Poplar Bluff High School in 2000 and received an associate degree from Three Rivers College. She married Jordan Hagerty in Orange Beach, Alabama, on July 18, 2018.

Growing up, she was an active member of First Baptist Church in Poplar Bluff. She was a member of Crossroads Fellowship Church in Jackson, where she served on the Compassion Team.

Andrea was a loving mother whose life revolved around spending time with her husband, daughters and family. She enjoyed Cardinals baseball games, being outdoors and baking and cooking with her girls. She also loved spoiling her niece and nephew.

Andrea is survived by her loving husband, Jordan Hagerty of the home; her two daughters, Keilah and Brielle Freeman, both of Jackson; her mother, Karen Hogg of Poplar Bluff; two sisters, Jessica (Matt) Ellington of Oxford, Mississippi, and Emily Hogg of Poplar Bluff; grandmother, Shirley Batson of Poplar Bluff; two aunts, Susan Hoxworth of Springville, Tennessee, and Lisa (Warren) Davenport of Memphis, Tennessee; and an uncle, Bobby Batson of Poplar Bluff.

She was preceded in death by her father, Jim Hogg, and her grandparents, Bill and Virginia Hogg and Robert Batson.

Visitation will be from 5 to 7 p.m. Friday at Moore Funeral Service in Poplar Bluff.

Funeral will be at 10 a.m. Saturday at the funeral home, with Brandon Spain officiating. Burial will take place in the Memorial Gardens Cemetery.

Memorials may be made to UCAN in Poplar Bluff or the Freeman Scholarship Fund for her daughters, which is set up at First Midwest Bank.
