GLEN ALLEN -- Amzie Knight, 78, of Glen Allen, died Sunday, May 3, 1992 at Southeast Missouri Hospital in Cape Girardeau.
He was born April 17, 1914 in Malden, son of George and Flora Hunsaker Knight.
He married Pauline Letgrate on March 22, 168 in East Prairie. She survives of Glen Allen.
He was a retired farmer and later worked for the city of Marble Hill. He was a member of the First Pentecostal Church of Glen Allen.
Other survivors are five sons, Rev. Darrell Faire, Glen Allen, Eddie Faire, Glen Allen, Lee Boatwright, Pontoon Beach, Ill., David Faire, Arlington, Ky. and Ronnie Faire, West Dundee, Ill.; one daughter, Diane Strobel, Sikeston; four brothers, Morris Knight, Marble Hill, Bill Knight, Michigan, Jessie Knight, Granite City, Ill. and Ralph Knight, Calif.; two sisters, Panzie Eaker of Texas and Ruth Cornell of Alabama; eight grandchildren and four great grandchildren.
Three brothers and three sisters preceded him in death.
Friends may call after 5 p.m. today at the First Pentecostal Church in Glen Allen.
Funeral service will be Tuesday at 2 p.m. at the church, with Knight's son, the Rev. Darrell Faire officiating, along with the Revs. Ivan Dowd and James Dowd. Burial will follow at the Glen Allen Cemetery.
