ADVANCE -- Amos Musgraves, 87, of Advance, died Thursday, May 16, 1996, at Southeast Missouri Hospital in Cape Girardeau.
He was born Nov. 27, 1908, in Advance, son of Samuel and Emma Browning Musgraves. He and Helen Tropf were married Nov. 3, 1933, at Bloomfield.
Musgraves retired as a grain inspector with MFA Co. in Advance. He was a member of the United Methodist Church and life member of Disabled American Veterans. He served in the U.S. Army during World War II.
Survivors include his wife; four sons, Jim Musgraves of Cape Girardeau, Darrell Musgraves of Mineola, Texas, Bill Musgraves of Pacific, Jerry Musgraves of Van Buren, Ark.; a sister, Bessie Miller of Marion; 10 grandchildren, and 11 great-grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by three brothers.
Friends may call at Morgan Funeral Home from 5-8 p.m. today.
Funeral service will be at 1:30 p.m. Sunday at the United Methodist Church, with the Revs. Virgil Bunch and W.R. Harrell officiating. Burial will be in Pleasant Hill Cemetery near Advance.
