SIKESTON -- Amon Humphries, 52, of Sikeston, died Tuesday, Oct. 27, 1992, at Missouri Delta Medical Center Emergency Room, of a heart attack.
He was born Dec. 21, 1939, at Red Bay, Ala., son of Isom and Zelma Hammock Humphries.
Humphries was a 1960 graduate of Sikeston High School. He was a former manager of Key Loan Co. in Cape Girardeau, was an agent and sales manager with Western-Southern Life Insurance Co. in St. Louis, and had been a hairstylist at Mr. Bill's Super Shear and Shear Perfection, both in Sikeston.
Survivors include a son, Darrin Humphries of Fulton; two brothers, Charles Humphries of Dudley, Bill Humphries of Cape Girardeau; a sister, Trudy Centers of Red Bay, and a granddaughter.
He was preceded in death by a daughter.
Funeral service will be at 2 p.m. Thursday at Nunnelee Funeral Chapel, with the Rev. Leigh Earley officiating. Burial will be in Memorial Park Cemetery at Sikeston.
Friends may call at the funeral home after 5 p.m. today.
