SIKESTON, Mo. -- Amie Jones, 78, of Sikeston died Wednesday, June 28, 2000, at Missouri Delta Medical Center.

She was born Aug. 31, 1921, in McNairy County, Tenn., daughter of John Henry and Mary Cordelia Barnes Hollingsworth.

Jones was a member of Murray Lane Baptist Church.

Survivors include a son, Wayne Jones of Bertrand; a daughter, Mary Nedland of Rockford, Ill.; a brother, Jack Hollingsworth of Hayti; a sister, Velmar Barham of Savannah, Tenn.; nine grandchildren; 13 great-grandchildren; and two great-great-grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by a daughter, three brothers, five sisters, and a grandson.

Friends may call at Nunnelee Funeral Chapel from 5-8 p.m. today.

Funeral will be at 10:30 a.m. Friday at the chapel, with the Rev. Kelley Grubbs officiating. Burial will be in Essex Cemetery.
