WHITEWATER -- Amelia E. Langston, 83, formerly of Whitewater, died Friday, Nov. 15, 1996, at Chaffee Nursing Center in Chaffee.
She was born May 26, 1913, in Cape Girardeau, daughter of Wilson and Ida Koehler Eaves. She and Marvin W. Langston were married Dec. 20, 1931. He died March 6, 1995.
Langston lived at Whitewater many years. She was a member of First Baptist Church at Delta, a member and past worthy matron of Whitewater Order of Eastern Star and also held other offices.
Survivors include two daughters, Donna Pensel of Jackson, Dorothy Hahs of Oak Ridge; a half sister, Mary McDaniel of Portland, Ind.; five grandchildren; and five great-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by a brother and sister.
Friends may call at McCombs Funeral Home in Jackson from 4-8 p.m. today. An Eastern Star service will be held at 7.
Funeral service will be at 2 p.m. Sunday at the funeral home, with the Rev. Glen Golden officiating. Burial will be in Memorial Park in Cape Girardeau.
