OAK RIDGE -- Amanda Ludwig of Oak Ridge died Friday, Nov. 20, 1992, at the Lutheran Home where had been a patient for two years.
She was born July 23, 1904 at Altenburg, daughter of Benjamin and Margaret Steuve Hecht.
She married Ernest A. Ludwig on June 3, 1923, at Altenburg. He preceded her in death on July 16, 1986.
Survivors include two sons, Leonard Ludwig and Marvin Ludwig, both of Oak Ridge; a daughter, Verna Thurm, of Altenburg; six grandchildren; and 11 great grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by four brothers and two sisters.
She was a member of St. John's Lutheran Church of Pocahontas, and a charter member of the St. John's Women of the Church.
Service will be held at 11 a.m. Monday at St. John's Lutheran Church of Pocahontas, with the Rev. Albert F. Nyland officiating. Burial will be in the church cemetery.
Friends may call at McCombs Funeral Home from 3 p.m. to 8 p.m. today. The body will be taken to the church Monday at 10 a.m.
