MAKANDA, Ill. -- Amanda Renee Dalton, 17, of Makanda died Tuesday, Oct. 7, 1997, in an automobile accident at the intersection of Highway 51 and Makanda Road.

She was born June 24, 1980, in Murphysboro, daughter of Roger Dale and Janet S. Pearson Dalton. She was a junior at Carbondale Community High School.

Survivors include her mother of Makanda; her father of Anna; a brother, Ty Dalton of Carbondale; a half sister, Tanya Hanes of Moscow, Idaho; maternal grandmother, Frances Pearson of Cobden; and paternal grandmother, Madge Dalton of Anna.

Friends may call at Lutz and Rendleman Funeral Home in Cobden after 6 p.m. Friday.

Funeral service will be at 10 a.m. Saturday at the funeral home, with the Rev. Cliff Waller officiating. Burial will be in Rowan Cemetery.
