CAIRO, Ill. -- Alvina Huffman, 78, of Cairo died Saturday, Aug. 8, 1998, at Southeast Missouri Hospital in Cape Girardeau.
She was born April 5, 1920, in Cairo, daughter of William and Hattie Frields Erickson. She was married to Joseph A. Huffman Sr.
She was a member of the Cairo Baptist Church and the American Legion Auxiliary.
Survivors include her husband; two sons, Jim Huffman of Cairo and Joseph A. Huffman Jr. of Belleville; two daughters, Barbara Rice of Kevil, Ky., and Peggy Mason of St. Louis; 10 grandchildren; and nine great-grandchildren.
Friends may call at the Barkett Funeral Home in Cairo from 5 to 9 p.m. Tuesday.
Funeral will be at 1 p.m. Wednesday at the funeral home. Dr. Larry L Potts will officiate, with burial at the Barlow City Cemetery in Barlow, Ky.
