Alvin Ray Stoffregen, 82, of Zalma, Mo., died Wednesday, Jan. 17, 2001, at Southeast Missouri Hospital in Cape Girardeau.
He was born April 18, 1918, in Delta, Mo., son of Fredrick and Olive Brown Stoffregen. He and Madeline Bader were married Aug. 17, 1940, in Benton, Mo.
Stoffregen was a small parts handler on an assembly line at Fischer Body, a division of General Motors. He retired in 1980.
Survivors include his wife; a daughter, Margaret Cope of Scott City, Mo.; a sister, Gladys Medlin of Tacoma, Wash.; a grandchild and a great-grandchild.
He was preceded in death by four brothers and three sisters.
Friends may call from 5-8 tonight at Amick-Burnett Funeral Chapel in Scott City.
Funeral will be at 2 p.m. Friday at the funeral chapel. The Rev. Terry Eades will officiate.
