GLENNON, Mo. ---- Alvin Stause, 66, of Glennon passed away June 3, 2011, at his home.

Born on April 19, 1945, he was the son of Hubert and Mayme Beel Stause.

He married Judy Thele on Aug. 5, 1967, at St. John Catholic Church in Leopold, Mo. She survives.

During the 1960s he served in the Missouri National Guard. He worked as a carpenter most of his life and retired from Beussink and Salyer Construction.

He was lifelong member of St. Anthony Catholic Church in Glennon, a member of the church parish council and a 3rd degree Knight of Columbus with Council No. 5898 at Leopold.

Besides his wife, he is survived by two sons, Scott (Jeannine) Stause of Oran, Mo., and Patrick (Karina) Stause of Burton, Mich.; three sisters, Marie "Sis" Hinkebein, and Ella Elfrink, both of Jackson, and Margie Klipfel of New Hamburg; a brother, Norman Stause of Dexter, Mo.; and eight grandchildren, Steven, Teshia, Codey, Nick, Austin, Shane, Brianna and Allison. He was preceded in death by his brothers Jim, Patrick, Robert and Clarence "Peck" Stause.

Visitation will be from 4 to 8 p.m. today at Hutchings Funeral Chapel in Marble Hill, Mo. Parish prayers will be at 7 p.m. with a Knights of Columbus rosary.

A Mass of Christian burial will be at 10 a.m. Monday at St. Anthony Church at Glennon. Burial will follow in the church cemetery.
