BERTRAND -- Alvin Murphy Morrow, 74, of Bertrand died Friday, Dec. 10, 1993, at Southeast Missouri Hospital in Cape Girardeau.

He was born Sept. 21, 1919, at Red Bay, Ala., the son of the late Robert and Sarah George Morrow. In August 1938, he married Gertrude Spearman, who survives of the home.

He lived in Mississippi County since 1947, where he farmed until his retirement in 1970. He was a member of First Baptist Church in Bertrand.

Other survivors include two sons, Bob Morrow of Las Vegas, Nev., and Glen Morrow of Springfield, Ill.; a daughter, Kay Langley of Westwego, La.; a brother, Raymond Morrow of rural Bertrand; three sisters, Alma Cross of Red Bay, Willie Fletcher of Bertrand and Louise Funderburk of Memphis, Tenn.; five grandchildren; and six great-grandchildren.

He was preceded in death by his parents, four brothers and three sisters.

Friends may call after 4:30 p.m. today at the McMikle Funeral Home in Charleston, where funeral service will be at 1 p.m. Monday. The Rev. Lee Fansler will officiate, and burial will be in Memorial Park Cemetery in Sikeston.
