PERRYVILLE -- Funeral service for Alvin L. LaRose of Perryville will be held at 11 a.m. today at Miller Family Funeral Home. The Rev. Ed Hankinson will officiate, with burial in Cedar Fork Cemetery.
Friends may call at the funeral home from 6:30 a.m. to service time.
LaRose, 75, died Wednesday, March 22, 1995, at John Cochran VA Medical Center in St. Louis.
He was born July 10, 1919, in Perryville, son of Emanuel and Sedalia Fadler LaRose. He and Melba L. Rogers were married May 14, 1953.
LaRose was a member of Ironworkers Local 396, American Legion, and lifetime member of Veterans of Foreign Wars.
Survivors include his wife; a son, Raymond LaRose of Clare, England; a stepdaughter, Donna Bristol of Granite City, Ill.; six sisters, Christine Lalumondiere, Joyce Taylor, Earline Bohnert, Bonnie Cox and Caroline Smith of Perryville, Lucille of St. Louis; a brother, Donald LaRose of Perryville; seven grandchildren, and eight great-grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by a stepdaughter, two brothers and two sisters.
