Alvin Heffington

Alvin Eugene "Pee Wee" Heffington, 61, of Oak Ridge died Sunday, July 20, 2003, at Southeast Missouri Hospital in Cape Girardeau.

He was born Sept. 2, 1941, in Lake Dallas, Texas, son of Cubie and Thelma Lois Finney Heffington. He and Roberta Mae Wilkerson were married March 8, 1969, in Hartford, Mich.

Heffington was a farm laborer and formerly of Morley, Mo.

Survivors include his wife; two daughters, Sheila Reeves and Kimberlee Heffington of Oak Ridge; five brothers, Bobby Heffington of Groveland, Fla., Gene and Donnie Heffington of Dowagiac, Mich., Gary Heffington of Hartford, Tommy Heffington of Sikeston, Mo.; two sisters, Lois Doverstein of Dowagiac, Kathy Rogers of Benton, Mo.; and six grandchildren.

He was preceded in death by his parents, two brothers, and a sister.

Friends may call at New Life Christian Center in Morley after 10 a.m. Wednesday.

The funeral will be at 11 a.m. Wednesday at the center, with the Rev. Don Russell officiating. Burial will be in New Morley Cemetery at Morley.

Amick-Burnett Funeral Chapel in Scott City is in charge of arrangements.
