PERRYVILLE -- Alvin A. Funke, 92, of Perryville, died Thursday, Sept. 22, 1994, at Perry County Nursing Home. He was born July 25, 1902, at Longtown, son of Michel G. and Barbara Louise Springer Funke. Funke was retired from Herket and Maisel Trunk Co. in St. Louis. PERRYVILLE -- Alvin A. Funke, 92, of Perryville, died Thursday, Sept. 22, 1994, at Perry County Nursing Home.

He was born July 25, 1902, at Longtown, son of Michel G. and Barbara Louise Springer Funke.

Funke was retired from Herket and Maisel Trunk Co. in St. Louis. He was a member of Zion Lutheran Church at Longtown. He served in the U.S. Army during World War II.

Survivors include three brothers, Julian Funke of Overland Park, Kan., Martin and Paul Funke of Perryville, and a sister, Lenola Kohlmann of St. Louis.

He was preceded in death by a brother, a twin brother and a sister.

Friends may call at Young and Sons Funeral Home after 9 a.m. Monday.

Funeral service will be at 11 a.m. Monday at the funeral home, with the Rev. Paul Winningham officiating. Burial will be in Zion Church Cemetery.
