PERRYVILLE, Mo. -- Alvera W. Bellm, 86, of Perryville died Wednesday, Feb. 17, 2010, at her home.
She was born Sept. 22, 1923, at Apple Creek, Mo., daughter of Ferdinand M. and Rosa C. Leible Sauer. She and Orval C. Bellm were married June 20, 1944.
Survivors include her husband; four children, Dennis (Peggy) Bellm of St. Louis, Marilyn Unterreiner of Columbus, Ohio, Craig (Inez) Bellm and Janice (Mark) Deiermann of Normandy, Mo.; four brothers, Lonnie Sauer of Perryville, Walbert Sauer of Florissant, Mo., Florian Sauer of Maryland Heights, Mo., Ferd Sauer Jr. of Arnold, Mo.; three sisters, Leola Hotop of Perryville, Elly Guth of Granite City, Ill., Rose Mary Dudly of Florissant; 11 grandchildren; and nine great-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her parents; a brother, Urban; and a sister, Virginia Sauer.
Mrs. Bellm was a beautician. She was a member of St. Maurus Catholic Church in Biehle, Mo., and St. Maurus Sodality. She was a former member of St. Ann's Catholic Church in Normandy.
Visitation will be from 4 to 9 p.m. Monday and 6:30 to 9:15 a.m. Tuesday at Young and Sons Funeral Home. A Catholic wake will be held at 7 p.m. Monday.
Funeral Mass will be at 10 a.m. Tuesday at St. Maurus Church, with the Rev. Tony Dattilo officiating. Burial will be in the church cemetery.
Memorials are preferred to St. Maurus Building Fund or Catholic charities.
