Funeral for Altha L. Shirrell of Cape Girardeau will be held at 1 p.m. Friday at First Church of God. The Rev. Roger Christiansen will officiate. Burial will be in Cape County Memorial Park.
Friends may call at Ford and Sons Sprigg Street Chapel from 4-8 p.m. today.
Shirrell, 90, died Tuesday, Aug. 17, 1999, at the Lutheran Home.
She was born Jan. 22, 1909, in Advance, daughter of Edward and Lula Allen Reitzel. She and the Rev. Collie L. Shirrell were married Sept. 24, 1927, in Cape Girardeau. He died Aug. 20, 1993.
Shirrell retired from International Shoe Co. She was a member of First Church of God and had been a Sunday School teacher. She was a lifetime member of WCG and held various offices.
Survivors include three daughters, Esther Waldrup of Cape Girardeau, Mary Drake of Fenton, Carol Dougan of St. Louis; a sister, Cecil Vandergraph of Cape Girardeau; seven grandchildren; and 10 great-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by two brothers.
