Alta Lee Woolf, 88, of Cape Girardeau, formerly of Poplar Bluff, Mo., died Friday, May 21, 2010, at Ratliff Care Center.
She was born Feb. 23, 1922, in Shannon County. She and Paul W. Woolf were married Dec. 6, 1941. He preceded her in death Feb. 26, 1994.
Mrs. Woolf was a member of Twin Springs Baptist Church. She enjoyed spending time with her family, quilting, embroidering, playing the piano and her church.
Survivors include three children, Rondal Woolf and wife Charlotte of Thebes, Ill., James Woolf and wife Shannon of Idaho Spring, Colo., Jay Woolf and wife Sheryl of Pacific, Mo.; five grandchildren, Audrey Dames, Stephanie Lalumondier, Christina Woolf, Amber Woolf, Sarah Woolf; and 12 great-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Daniel Eli and Lula Bell Williams Corbin; sisters, Laura Crawley and Lorraine Kirtley; brothers, Irby, Eddy and Lynn Corbin.
Visitation will be from 6 to 8 p.m. today at Cotrell Funeral Chapel in Poplar Bluff.
The funeral will be at 10 a.m. Monday at the chapel, with the Rev. Marvin Richards officiating and the Rev. Kenny Parker assisting. Burial will be in Memorial Gardens Cemetery in Poplar Bluff.
