SCOTT CITY -- E. Alonzo Crader, 88, of Scott City died Wednesday, April 9, 1997, at his home.

He was born July 16, 1908, at Burfordville, son of Lee Sylvester and Anna Elizabeth Kiel Crader. He and Alma M. Hopper were married Aug. 11, 1931, in Jonesboro, Ill.

Crader had been an electrician at Marquette Cement Co. in Cape Girardeau. He was a member of St. Joseph Catholic Church, and charter member of Knights of Columbus Council 6420.

Survivors include his wife; two brothers, Willard Crader of Oran, Herman Crader of Scott City; three sisters, Ruby Statler of Cape Girardeau, Lucille Hinkle of Fredericktown, Mary Daniels of Scott City; three grandchildren; and six great-grandchildren.

He was preceded in death by a son, two brothers and four sisters.

Friends may call at Amick-Burnett Funeral Chapel in Scott City after 3 p.m. today. A joint parish prayer and KC service will be held at 7.

Funeral Mass will be at 11 a.m. Friday at St. Joseph Church, with the Rev. Pat Wissman officiating. Burial will be in the church cemetery.
