EAST CAPE GIRARDEAU, Ill. -- Almos "Randy" Randol, 81, of East Cape Girardeau, loving and devoted husband and father, went to be with his precious Lord and Savior Sunday, Nov. 21, 2010.
He was born May 24, 1929, in McClure, Ill., to Earl and Mary Stevens Randol. He married Clara Hill May 24, 1950.
Randol worked at Hart's Bakery, retiring in 1981 after more than 20 years. He then worked part-time at Hartline Hardware until leaving due to health. He was a member of Teamsters Local 574.
Randol left a legacy to his family and friends of his faith and devotion to God in living the true meaning of being Christ-like.
He is survived by his loving wife; four children, Kathy (Bill) Keller of Cape Girardeau, Mike (Susan) Randol of Thebes, Ill., Sonnie (Jim) Keller of Cape Girardeau, Lisa (Scott) Conrad of Cape Girardeau; eight grandchildren; 15 great-grandchildren, and two more coming in 2011; five siblings, Carroll of Georgia, Doyle Wayne of Cape Girardeau, Richard of Georgia, Ramona Easton of Georgia, and Genevieve Randol of McClure.
He was preceded in death by a grandchild, his parents and five sisters.
Friends may call from 4 to 8 p.m. today at Ford and Sons Mount Auburn Funeral Home.
The funeral will be 10 a.m. Wednesday at the funeral home, with the Rev. Tommy Miller officiating. Burial will be in Lindsey Cemetery in McClure.
