Alam Elizabeth Wilke, 89, Route 2 in Jackson, died Sunday, July 4, 1999, at Jackson Manor retirement home.
She was born April 30, 1910, in Cape Girardeau County, daughter of August and Lena Nagel Hauenschild. She and Herbert Wilke were married Nov. 4, 1928. He died Nov. 9, 1970.
She was a housewife, a member of Immanuel Lutheran in Tilsit, the Ladies Aid Society, the Altar Guild and a 4-H leader.
She is survived by three sons, LeRoy Wilke of Cape Girardeau, Jerry Wilke of Jackson and Eugene Wilke of Waycross, Ga.; a brother, August Hauenschild of Jackson; nine grandchildren; and 15 great-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by a brother.
Visitation will be from 4 to 8 p.m. Wednesday.
Funeral will be at 2 p.m. Thursday at the Immanuel Lutheran Church in Tilsit, with the Rev. Don Reder officiating. Burial will be in the church cemetery.
Arrangements are being made by Cracraft-Miller Funeral Home.
