SIKESTON -- Alma Beatrice Schuchart, 82, of Sikeston died Saturday, Jan. 15, 2000, at her home.
She was born Jan. 23, 1917, in Hornersville, daughter of P.V. and Lora L. Moody Branum. She and Emil J. Schuchart Sr. were married March 30, 1940, in Sikeston. He died Jan. 5, 1988.
Schuchart was a member of St. Francis Xavier Catholic Church and its Altar Sodality and Daughters of Isabella.
Survivors include a son, Emil Schuchart Jr. of Sikeston; three daughters, Shirley Wasson of Cary, N.C., Sharon Bridell of O'Fallon, Ill., Marilyn Jeter of Carmel, Ind.; a brother, Charles Branum of Cape Girardeau; four sisters, Juanita Alcorn, Imogene Arnold, Betty Yeargain and Rachel Pierce, all of Sikeston; 12 grandchildren; and six great-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by a son, a grandson, a brother, and a sister.
Friends may call at Nunnelee Funeral Chapel from 5-8 p.m. Thursday. A prayer service will be held at 7:30.
Funeral Mass will be at 10:30 a.m. Friday at St. Francis Church. Msgr. William Stanton will officiate. Burial will be in Garden of Memories Cemetery.
