ORAN, Mo. -- Alma Lorene Schlitt, daughter of the late Clinton and Marcella Scherer Littlepage, was born April 14, 1927, in Chaffee, Missouri, and departed this life Tuesday, July 14, 2020, at her home, at the age of 93 years.
Alma was a member of Guardian Angel Catholic Church in Oran, member of the St. Ann Sodality, a homemaker and a resident of Oran.
On Sept. 11, 1948, she was united in marriage to Harold Schlitt in St. Louis. He preceded her in death.
Survivors include five sons, Michael Schlitt (Mary) of Hazelwood, Missouri, David Schlitt (Karen) of Annapolis, Maryland, Glynn Schlitt (Barbara) of Des Peres, Missouri, Tony Schlitt of Eugene, Oregon, and Keith Schlitt of St. Louis County; by three daughters, Bernita Hammond (Forest) of Cadet, Missouri, Yvonne Schlitt of Oran and Nadine Cessna (Jere) of St. Peters, Missouri; 25 grandchildren; and 43 great-grandchildren.
Besides her husband and parents, she was preceded in death by two daughters, Claudia (Sue) Clarice and Margaret Smith; by two brothers, C.J. Littlepage and Paul Littlepage; and four sisters, Wilma McGuire, Rosemary Fussell, Ann "Midge" Wortham and Clifta Cartwright.
Visitation will be held from 4 until 7 p.m., with a rosary service held at 4 p.m. with Father Randy Tochtrop, Sunday at Amick-Burnett Funeral Chapel in Oran.
Eucharistic celebration will be held at 10 a.m. Monday at Guardian Angel Catholic Church in Oran, conducted by Father Tochtrop. Interment will follow in Guardian Angel Cemetery.
