Alma Probst, 82, of Cape Girardeau died Tuesday, Nov. 14, 2000, at Southeast Missouri Hospital. She was born July 26, 1918, at Blodgett, Mo., daughter of Clarence E. and Eva Laura Burns Riley. She and Pearl Probst were married Oct. 19, 1935, in Cape Girardeau. He died June 24, 1978...

Alma Probst, 82, of Cape Girardeau died Tuesday, Nov. 14, 2000, at Southeast Missouri Hospital.

She was born July 26, 1918, at Blodgett, Mo., daughter of Clarence E. and Eva Laura Burns Riley. She and Pearl Probst were married Oct. 19, 1935, in Cape Girardeau. He died June 24, 1978.

Probst was a member of First Pentecostal Church, and former member of Church of Jesus Christ.

Survivors include five sons, Paul Probst of Bernie, Mo., Glen and Ronnie Probst of Advance, Mo., Marshall Probst of Potosi, Mo., James Probst of Cape Girardeau; three daughters, Rose Lela Fritz of Morley, Mo., Freida Jones of Jackson, Mo., Audrey Denny of Cape Girardeau; two brothers, Marshall Riley of Cape Girardeau, Earl Riley of St. Louis; a sister, Gladys Dickerson of Cape Girardeau; 20 grandchildren; and 21 great-grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by a daughter, two brothers and a sister.

Friends may call at Ford and Sons Sprigg Street Chapel from 4-8 p.m. Friday.

Funeral will be at 2 p.m. Saturday at the chapel. The Rev. Darrell E. Faire Sr. will officiate, with burial will be in Lorimier Cemetery.
