MARBLE HILL, Mo. -- Alma Hermina Nenninger, 89, of Marble Hill died Friday, Feb. 23, 2007, at her daughter's residence in Kelso, Mo. She was born Sept. 8, 1917, in Glennon, Mo., daughter of George John and Mary Blanche Horrell Fisher. She and Lawrence Sylvester Nenninger were united in marriage Jan. 3, 1943. He died Oct. 13, 1985...

MARBLE HILL, Mo. -- Alma Hermina Nenninger, 89, of Marble Hill died Friday, Feb. 23, 2007, at her daughter's residence in Kelso, Mo.

She was born Sept. 8, 1917, in Glennon, Mo., daughter of George John and Mary Blanche Horrell Fisher. She and Lawrence Sylvester Nenninger were united in marriage Jan. 3, 1943. He died Oct. 13, 1985.

Alma was a loving mother and grandmother, a member of the PCCW and a member of St. Anthony's Church in Glennon where she played the organ since age 12, retiring in 2006. She loved to cook, sew and read.

Survivors include eight sons; Charles (Rita) Nenninger of Cape Girardeau; Larry Nenninger, Robert Nenninger, Norbert (Debbie K.) Nenninger, Dennis (Debbie L.) Nenninger, Francis (Peggy) Nenninger, all of Marble Hill; Roger (Theresa) Nenninger of Leopold, Mo.; Michael Nenninger of Advance, Mo.; a daughter, Mary Lou (Mike) Geary of Kelso, Mo.; 15 grandchildren; nine great grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by her parents, four brothers and a great-granddaughter, Mariah Jane Nenninger.

Funeral Mass will be at 10 a.m. today at St. Anthony's Catholic Church in Glennon, Mo., with the Rev. Bill Huggins and the Rev. David Dohogne officiating.

Burial will follow in the church cemetery.
