JACKSON -- Alma Josephine Brock, 70, of Jackson, died Thursday, May 14, 1992, at her home.

She was born April 16, 1922, at Charleston, daughter of Joseph and Lela Samson Brown. She married Robert Brock Nov. 3, 1945, in Nashville, Tenn.

The Brocks moved to the Jackson area in 1952 from Benton. She was a graduate of St. Mary's Hospital School of Nursing in Cairo, Ill. She was a registered nurse and had worked at old St. Francis Hospital, Southeast Missouri Hospital and Cape LaCroix Manor, retiring in 1979.

She was a member of Immaculate Conception Catholic Church, its St. Ann's Sodality, Missouri Nurses Association, and Ladies Auxiliary to Altenthal-Joerns American Legion Post 158.

Survivors include her husband; a son, Robert C. Brock III of Rogers, Ark.; two daughters, Pam Friedrich of Jackson, Sister Pat Brock, SSND, of St. Louis; a brother, Joseph Brown of Lansing, Mich.; two sisters, Lucy Gilmore of Bertrand, Jenny Wright of LaCenter, Ky., and seven grandchildren.

Funeral mass will be at noon Saturday at Immaculate Church. Msgr. Edward Eftink will officiate, with burial in Russell Heights Cemetery.

Friends may call at Cracraft-Miller Funeral Home from 4-8 p.m. today. The rosary will be at 7.
