BURFORDVILLE -- Alma Susan Howard, 94, of Burfordville died Sunday, Sept. 5, 1999, at the Jackson Manor. She was born Sept. 4, 1905, at Gravel Hill, daughter of Barney and Amanda Allen. She and John F. Howard were married Sept. 25, 1943. He died Jan. 1, 1982...

BURFORDVILLE -- Alma Susan Howard, 94, of Burfordville died Sunday, Sept. 5, 1999, at the Jackson Manor.

She was born Sept. 4, 1905, at Gravel Hill, daughter of Barney and Amanda Allen. She and John F. Howard were married Sept. 25, 1943. He died Jan. 1, 1982.

She was a longtime member of the Burfordville Baptist Church.

She is survived by a daughter, Loudeen Felty of Millersville, and a sister, Iva Thorn of Jackson.

She was preceded in death by a brother and three sisters.

The funeral will be at 2 p.m. today at McCombs Funeral Home at Jackson.

The Rev. Morris Cobb will officiate, with burial to follow at Russell Heights Cemetery.
