DEXTER -- Alma Hillis, 80, of Dexter died Wednesday, March 29, 2000, at Dexter Memorial Hospital. She was born March 30, 1919, in Center Ridge, Ark., daughter of Thomas Leslie and Oma Ethel Lewis Hillis. Hillis moved to Missouri in 1937 from Arkansas, and to Dexter in 1945. DEXTER -- Alma Hillis, 80, of Dexter died Wednesday, March 29, 2000, at Dexter Memorial Hospital.

She was born March 30, 1919, in Center Ridge, Ark., daughter of Thomas Leslie and Oma Ethel Lewis Hillis.

Hillis moved to Missouri in 1937 from Arkansas, and to Dexter in 1945. She was a seamstress at Elder Manufacturing Co. 39 years. She was a member of the Church of Christ.

Survivors include a sister, Nettie Hillis of Dexter; and a brother, Leonard Hillis of Memphis, Tenn.

Friends may call at Watkins and Sons Funeral Home in Dexter from 6-9 p.m. today.

Funeral will be at 2 p.m. Saturday at the funeral home, with Dale Grissom officiating. Burial will be in Dexter Cemetery.
