ALMA FRANCES ARCHIE

EAST PRAIRIE -- Alma Frances Archie, 81, of East Prairie, died Wednesday, Aug. 7, 1991, at Missouri Delta Medical Center.

She was born July 11, 1910, in Obion County, Tenn., daughter of Ollie and Pearl Morris Armstrong. She married the Rev. Elva C. Archie Aug. 16, 1930. He died Feb. 26, 1990.

Archie had lived in Mississippi County most of her life, and was a member of Westside Baptist Church here.

Survivors include three sons, Elva Archie Jr. of South Fulton, Tenn., Bobby Archie of St. Louis, Billy Archie of Oran; a daughter, Lucille Letgrate of Glen Allen; a brother, LeRoy Armstrong of Nashville, Tenn.; three sisters, Irene Morgan, Mozell Wakefield and Gertrude Smith of Nashville; 15 grandchildren; 14 great-grandchildren, and two great-great-grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by two grandchildren and two sisters.

Funeral service will be at 2 p.m. today at Shelby Funeral Chapel here. The Rev. Lewis Stone will officiate, with burial in East Prairie Memorial Park Cemetery.
