MARQUAND, Mo. -- Alma Jean Farmer, 69, of Marquand passed away Monday, Nov. 16, 2009, at Barnes-Jewish Hospital in St. Louis. She was born Jan. 23, 1940, in St. Louis, daughter of Millem A. and Doris M. Smith Moore. She married Gary Duane Farmer on Jan. 11 1957...

MARQUAND, Mo. -- Alma Jean Farmer, 69, of Marquand passed away Monday, Nov. 16, 2009, at Barnes-Jewish Hospital in St. Louis.

She was born Jan. 23, 1940, in St. Louis, daughter of Millem A. and Doris M. Smith Moore. She married Gary Duane Farmer on Jan. 11 1957.

They were the parents of Gary W. Farmer Jr., Barbara Jean Farmer and Paul Alec Farmer. Her children preceded her in death.

Alma Jean is survived by her husband; a daughter-in-law, Paula Farmer of Hillsboro, Mo.; two sisters, Mary Ellen DeGuire of Barnhart, Mo., Brenda Davis of Marquand; and two brothers, James L. Moore of Marquand and Jerry R. Moore of Belleview, Neb.

Visitation will be Thursday from 10 a.m. until service time at Hutchings Funeral Chapel in Marble Hill, Mo.

The funeral will be at 11 a.m. Thursday at the chapel. Burial will be in McGee Chapel Cemetery near Glenallen, Mo.
